Our History

Seven founding partners of

MedicalConsult Ltd.

In 1998 there was a high deficit in the use of Radiation in Health in Portugal: in most cases the equipment was obsolete, Radiotherapy was scarce, professionals trained in radiation protection were rare ... After the entering into force of a set of European Directives on the use of radiation in Health and Industry (including 96/29 and 97/43/Euratom), a group of seven citizens decided to create a company that would bring new and dynamic competences to Portugal, covering gaps in human resources. MedicalConsult was thus incorporated (in the form of a private limited company), aiming at becoming an innovator in various fields, under a Management based on Innovation and Flexibility.

In December 2008 the company becomes a joint stock company, increasing its share capital from 5,000 to 100,000 Euros.

It is the beginning of a new era!
